Hypnotype is the "Kinetic Typography" engine for audio creators. It transforms podcasts and essays into high-retention text animations that force the viewer to read along. Designed for thinkers and storytellers, it allows you to create the "Founders Podcast" aesthetic without the cost.
No! We offer a "Discovery" plan that allows you to try the platform for free. For more features like no watermarks, HD export, and commercial rights, you can upgrade to our "Creator" ($10/mo) or "Pro" ($27/mo) plans.
After logging in, click on "New Project" (or navigate to your Project Dashboard). Select a template that fits your needs, then upload an audio file. The transcription will start automatically, and once complete, you can customize your video and render it.
We offer three main templates: "Hypnotic Text" (VSL) consists of big, bold serif text on a solid background with karaoke-style highlighting. "Podcast" (VSLTyping) is a classic visual podcast layout with dynamic text and waveform. "Vertical Podcast" (VSLPortrait) is optimized for 9:16 mobile feeds like TikTok or Reels.
Currently, we support MP3 audio files. The system will automatically convert your audio to the required format for processing. Make sure your audio file is clear and of good quality for best transcription results.
You can upload audio files in two ways: drag and drop your MP3 file onto the upload area, or click the upload area to browse and select a file from your computer. Once selected, the transcription process will start automatically.
Audio files can be up to 15 minutes in duration. If your audio is longer, consider splitting it into multiple segments. The system will process each segment separately.
During transcription, your audio is analyzed using AI to extract spoken words and their timing. This process typically takes 30 seconds to 2 minutes depending on the audio length. You can see the progress in real-time. Once complete, you'll be able to preview and customize your video.
Yes! If you upload the same audio file (detected by file hash), the system will reuse the existing transcription to save time. This means you won't need to wait for transcription again if you're creating multiple videos from the same audio.
It depends on the template. The "Podcast" and "Vertical Podcast" templates require an image (portrait photo), while "Hypnotic Text" doesn't. If a template requires an image and you don't upload one, a default image will be used. You can always upload or change the image later.
We support PNG, JPG, JPEG, and WebP image formats. For best results, use high-quality images with good resolution. There's no strict size limit, but very large files may take longer to upload.
You can change the image at any time by clicking the image upload area in the template customization panel. Simply select a new image file, and it will replace the current one. The preview will update automatically.
We recommend using square or portrait-oriented images (1:1 or 3:4 aspect ratio) for best results. The system will automatically scale and position your image according to the template settings. Higher resolution images (1000x1000px or more) generally produce better results.
The customization options allow you to personalize your video: Font Family (typeface), Font Size (text size), Font Weight (boldness), Line Height (spacing between lines), Colors (text, background, accents), and positioning options. Each template has specific parameters tailored to its design.
Line Height controls the vertical spacing between lines of text. A value of 1.0 means normal spacing, while higher values (like 1.5) add more space between lines, and lower values (like 0.9) bring lines closer together. Adjust this to improve readability or fit more text on screen.
You can choose colors in two ways: use the color picker by clicking the color swatch, or enter a hex color code directly (e.g., #FF5733). Colors are specified in hexadecimal format (6 digits). The preview updates automatically when you change colors.
A waveform is a visual representation of your audio's sound waves. In the Podcast template, you can choose between "Bars" (vertical bars) or "Ribbon" (flowing line) styles. The "Flow" option controls the animation direction: left-to-right, center (expanding), or right-to-left.
Labels are text overlays in the Podcast template. Top Label typically displays branding or a tagline (e.g., "Generated with Muware Podcast"), while Bottom Label shows the speaker's name or title. You can customize the text, font, size, color, and position of both labels. Leave them empty if you don't want to display them.
Positioning parameters control where elements appear: Image Offset X/Y (image position), Image Scale (image size), Text Baseline Offset (vertical text position), Text Left/Right/Top Inset (text margins), Waveform Offset X/Y (waveform position), Waveform Height (waveform size), and Waveform Amplify (waveform intensity). Adjust these to fine-tune your layout.
The preview updates automatically after a short delay (about 600ms) when you change any parameter. You'll see a brief "Updating preview..." message. If the preview doesn't update, try making a small change to trigger a refresh, or check if there's an error message displayed.
The preview is a static image snapshot of how your video will look with current settings. It's generated quickly to let you see changes in real-time. The preview is not the final video - you need to render the video to get the full animated video file.
If the preview doesn't load, check: 1) Your audio file has been transcribed successfully, 2) There are no error messages displayed, 3) Your internet connection is stable. Try refreshing the page or making a small parameter change to trigger a new preview generation.
Yes! The preview updates automatically after you make changes, with a short debounce delay (about 600ms) to avoid excessive updates while you're adjusting parameters. You don't need to click any button - just wait a moment after making changes.
Rendering is the process of generating the final video file from your audio and customization settings. Unlike the preview (which is a static image), rendering creates a full animated video file (MP4) that you can download and use. This process takes longer as it processes every frame of the video.
Rendering time depends on your video length. Typically, it takes 1-3 minutes per minute of video content. You can track progress in real-time - the system shows percentage complete, rendered frames, and encoded frames. You can close the page - your render will continue in the background.
You can track progress in two places: 1) In the generator page, you'll see a progress bar and status, 2) In "Renders in progress", you can see all active renders. The system shows percentage complete, number of frames rendered, and frames encoded.
If rendering fails, check the error message displayed. Common issues include: invalid parameters, missing assets, or server issues. Your project settings are saved, so you can fix the issue and try rendering again. If the problem persists, contact support.
Videos are exported as MP4 files using H.264 codec, which is compatible with all major platforms and video players. The quality is optimized for web and social media use. Currently, you cannot choose different formats or resolutions, but we're working on adding more options.
Your rendered videos are stored on our servers and associated with your project. You can download them anytime from "My Content" or "Renders in progress". Videos remain available as long as your project exists. We recommend downloading important videos for your own backup.
"My Content" is your project library where all your video projects are stored. Here you can see all projects regardless of their status (Draft, Transcription ready, Preview ready, Rendering in progress, Completed, Render failed). You can rename, continue editing, download completed videos, or delete projects from this page.
Click the pencil icon next to the project name in "My Content" or in the preview panel. Enter the new name and press Enter or click the checkmark. Project names can be up to 255 characters. The name helps you organize and identify your projects.
The "Continue" button lets you reopen a project in the generator to make changes. You can modify all customization parameters, change the image, adjust settings, and render again. All your previous settings are preserved, so you can pick up where you left off.
Click the trash icon on any project card in "My Content". You'll be asked to confirm the deletion. Warning: This action is permanent and cannot be undone. All project data, including rendered videos, will be deleted.
Statuses indicate project state: "Draft" - just created, "Transcription ready" - audio processed, "Preview ready" - preview generated, "Rendering in progress" - video being created, "Completed" - video ready, "Render failed" - an error occurred.
"Renders in progress" shows only projects that are currently rendering or queued for rendering. "My Content" shows all your projects regardless of status. Use "Renders in progress" to quickly check active renders, and "My Content" to manage all projects.
Yes! You can create and manage unlimited projects simultaneously. Each project is independent with its own audio, settings, and rendered video. There's no limit on the number of projects you can have.
The "Discovery" plan is free but includes watermarks and lower resolution. The "Creator" plan ($10/mo) removes watermarks, offers 720p HD, and includes commercial rights. The "Pro" plan ($27/mo) adds 1080p Full HD, priority rendering, and supports longer video durations (up to 2 hours).
Paid plans ("Creator" and "Pro") include 0% watermarks, Higher Definition (720p or 1080p), and Commercial Rights. The "Pro" plan specifically grants Priority GPU Rendering and Priority Support for serious creators.
Go to "Account & Billing" in the sidebar, then click "Upgrade to Premium" or visit the "Pricing" page. Click "Get Started" on the Premium plan, and you'll be redirected to Stripe for secure payment. After payment, your account is upgraded immediately.
Go to "Account & Billing" in the sidebar. If you're on Premium, click "Manage Billing" to access your Stripe customer portal. There you can update payment methods, view invoices, change billing details, or cancel your subscription.
If payment fails, you'll see a "Payment Failed" badge on your subscription page. Update your payment method via "Manage Billing" to restore access. You may lose Premium access if payment isn't updated, but your projects remain safe.
Yes, you can cancel your Premium subscription anytime via "Manage Billing". Your Premium access continues until the end of your current billing period. After that, you'll revert to Free plan. Your existing projects remain accessible, but you'll lose Premium features.
When you cancel your subscription, it's set to cancel at the end of your current billing period. This means you keep Premium access until the period ends (you've already paid for it). After that date, you automatically revert to Free plan.
The Home page currently displays design system information and tokens. It's primarily for development purposes. For regular use, navigate to "Podcast Generator" to create videos, or "My Content" to manage your projects.

Try these steps: 1) Refresh the page (Ctrl+F5 or Cmd+Shift+R), 2) Check your internet connection, 3) Clear browser cache, 4) Try a different browser, 5) Check if JavaScript is enabled. If problems persist, contact support.
Check: 1) File format is MP3 for audio, PNG/JPG/WebP for images, 2) File isn't corrupted, 3) File size isn't too large, 4) You have a stable internet connection, 5) Browser allows file uploads. Try a smaller file or different format if issues persist.
Transcription may fail if: 1) Audio quality is poor or too quiet, 2) Audio contains only music/noise without speech, 3) Language isn't supported (currently optimized for English), 4) File is corrupted. Try re-recording with better quality or check the audio file.
Try: 1) Wait a few seconds (preview updates with a delay), 2) Make a small parameter change to trigger update, 3) Refresh the page, 4) Check for error messages, 5) Ensure audio transcription completed successfully. If still not working, contact support.
Renders can take time - check the progress percentage. If it's truly stuck (no progress for 10+ minutes), try: 1) Refresh the page to check status, 2) Check "Renders in progress" for error messages, 3) Try rendering again, 4) Contact support if the issue persists.
This usually means: 1) The project was deleted, 2) You're accessing a project that doesn't belong to you, 3) There's a temporary server issue. Check "My Content" to see if the project still exists. If it should be there, contact support.
This means the template used for your project is no longer available (possibly removed or updated). Contact support - we can help recover your project or migrate it to an available template. Your project data is safe.
Yes! You can queue multiple renders simultaneously. Each render processes independently. Check "Renders in progress" to see all active renders and their progress. There's no limit on concurrent renders for Premium users.
Currently, customization is limited to the parameters available in each template (fonts, colors, positioning, etc.). We're continuously adding new templates and features. For specific customization requests, contact support - we'd love to hear your ideas!
